Its location near the shore and reasonable parking fees add to its appeal among both locals and tourists.
Love the giant spider crab option but it was a little over cooked. The fresh clams was delicious. Get it.
Just go and order the cangrejo marciano aka martian crab.
A local friend strongly recommended this place, stating as his favorite, the most delicious, and ugliest place in Baja California. The description could not have been more accurate. Food was amazing, we had a ceviche, governor tacos, estrella tostada (fish, shrimp and octopus) and a lobster. Place seems like it’s falling down but the food was amazing.
Always a pleasure to enjoy this lovely food, Lorena and her husband are really nice people and make everyone feel welcomed, this time we had the biggest martian crab they had and it was just delicious. Aside from that we ordered fish fillet, shrimp tacos, a different type of crab and some drinks, if you are in town, you must visit La Estrella, close to Rosarito but far better than Puerto Nuevo
Same day fresh seafood. It's $4US to park and there is a cluster of restaurants, La Estrella is next to the shore. I recommend the aguachiles. The aguachiles plate has a distinct flavor that I can't put my finger on, perhaps less salt but it is mighty delicious
Delicious!!!!…Get everything!
We came here to try the spider crab or as known in Mexico the Martian crab. Weird looking creature, but very tasty. The staff was very friendly and attentive. We picked our crab and they asked how we wanted it prepared. Our choices: natural, spicy or garlicky. We picked garlicky. I also ordered a shrimp appetizer served with fresh onions and cucumbers, and some avocado. Very good food, and the prices were reasonable. Just remember to be careful, the traffic around is crazy and some drivers are jerks.
Super cute and delicious! We had gigantic oysters and marciano crab. The salsa, chips, ceviche…all were yummy. If you’re new to the area, don’t get detoured by all the guys trying to help you park and make it to their restaurants! Drive right to the very end to reach Mariscos La Estrella!
